Repeat Prescriptions
Ordering Prescriptions Online
If your doctor has discussed it with you, checked that your medications are appropriate for 6 monthly scripts, and your condition is stable, then you are now able to order repeat prescriptions online using the same system as our online appointment system myIndici.
NOTE: You must register first for the online portal if you haven’t already done so. Learn More.
Important Information about Online Repeat Prescriptions:
- Click ‘medication’ to access repeat prescriptions
- Please clearly indicate the medications required. Tick the ones you want, click “repeat Selected Medications” button above this. It will open up a pop-up window for you to add a note if you want to. You must have pop-ups enabled.
- If your medication is not listed, you may need to call the nurse on 03 3478848 to check that you can get a repeat of that medication. Next time you see your doctor you can talk to them about making regularly requested medications “Long-term”. They’ll understand what you mean.
- Please be aware that some new medications require you to be seen again by a doctor after 3 months to review effectiveness. It is a requirement of the NZ Medical Council that all patients receiving scripts are reviewed on a regular basis.
- Prescriptions will take up to THREE working days to process. You must have seen the doctor in the last 6 months to discuss this medication and have NO outstanding accounts. You will be sent a text message to let you know when your script is ready.
- PLEASE CLEARLY indicate which pharmacy for us to electronically send it to (For example, there are three in Rolleston, so be very specific.)
- Please also enter your email address so we can invoice you.
- Children under 16 years cannot have their own portal access, you can still phone our nurses to order prescriptions for children under 16 years.
- You cannot order repeat prescriptions for any family members, you can only make appointments on their behalf.
Ordering Repeat Prescriptions by Phone
Please phone the medical practice on 03 3478848 3-7 working days prior to requiring repeat medication, as this is the usual turn-around period for repeat scripts to be completed.
There will be a script charge.
$25 usual, $15 CSC holder, $5 under 14yrs. There is an extra $10 charge for any urgent scripts.
