Dr Susie Marsh

I was born in South Africa and completed my medical degree in Cape Town. I went travelling after University and only planned to visit New Zealand for 3 months, but I loved it so much I am still here 20 years later! I live in Sumner and enjoy spending time outdoors in the hills and surf. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice especially Sports Medicine and Paediatrics.

Dr Chantell McKee

I was born in Pennsylvania and after living in various parts of 

the US and traveling as much of the world as I could, I moved 

to New Zealand with my Kiwi husband and two gorgeous 

young children. I have served in the US Air Force as a 

physician which has fed my interest in sports medicine. I also 

enjoy women’s health and reproductive medicine. In my 

personal time, I enjoy various arts and crafts, including 

abstract painting, crochet, wood working and sewing. I live in 

Rolleston with my family, including my mini schnauzer and 

African Grey parrot.

Dr Melanie England

I grew up in Whangarei and graduated from Auckland Medical School in 2004. I worked as a paediatric registrar at Christchurch hospital and have a postgraduate diploma in child health. I enjoy working in all aspects of general practice, especially paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology. I have been working at Rolleston Medical Centre since 2009 and live with my husband and two children in the Selwyn district. I also work for the RNZCGP supervising new GP registrars.

Dr Samanthi Rambadagalla

I moved from Sri Lanka to New Zealand in 2005. After working for a few years in hospital medicine, I completed my GP training and have been working as a GP in Selwyn of the past 15 years. I enjoy all aspects of GP practice, and have a special interest in Women’s Health, child health and promoting healthy lifestyles. I’m passionate about supporting women through all stages of their lives specially during peri and post menopausal stages. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, exploring nature and painting.

Dr Joanna Dixon

I emigrated to NZ 12 years ago from Kent in UK when my Kiwi husband got a job at Lincoln University. I have been working as a GP and living in the Selwyn area with my husband and 3 children since. I enjoy the varied challenges of being a GP, with special interests in women’s health (insert intrauterine coil devices), child health and care of the elderly.

Dr Peter Ryan

I was raised in the Manawatu as a Turbos and Hurricanes supporter, and now have 3 proud Cantabrian children. I bring a wide range of life experience:  I’ve been a farm worker, builder’s labourer, finished an Agricultural Science degree, youth work, travelled, then medical school. I have a personal interest in skin cancer and use this both as a GP and also to run the Selwyn Skin Cancer Practice.

Dr Chivala Heal

I was born and raised in Dunedin and graduated from Otago Medical School.  Before my career as a doctor I worked in Public Health.  I spent my first few postgraduate years working at Christchurch Hospital working in a number of different specialities including General Medicine, General Surgery and Older Persons Health. I live locally in Selwyn with my husband who is in the NZ Army and our young son.  When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, baking and cake decorating.

Dr Amanda Parkin

I graduated from Otago Medical School, then worked in various places around New Zealand before returning home more than 20 years ago to Canterbury, for the most part working in the Selwyn District. When not avoiding cooking, I appreciate the high quality of life living in a semi-rural district, and enjoy the variety of challenges and interactions within general practice.

Dr Nick Dunbar

I grew up in Dunedin and trained through Otago medical School. I am a dual trainee in GP and rural hospital medicine so have moved between GP and hospital medicine over the last 8 years. Having done time in Emergency medicine, paediatrics, Orthopaedics, General medicine and Intensive care, as well as rural GP work in Te Anau and Wanaka, I enjoy seeing the full array of medical problems that people present with. I currently live in Christchurch with my partner and our young daughter. In my free-time I enjoy spending time with family and surfing, biking and running.

Dr Janine Searle

I was born in Wellington and gained my medical degree from Auckland University.  I worked at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland and gained my postgraduate diploma in Paediatrics. In 2001 I moved to Ōtautahi/Christchurch and trained as a GP.  I enjoy the variety of work in General Practice, especially child and adolescent health, and adult medicine. 

My husband and I have two children, one grown up and one a teenager. I enjoy walking in the Port Hills forest, running, and reading. 

Dr Sam Martin

I grew up in Selwyn before attending Otago Medical School- graduating in 2018 after having placements all around the South Island in Christchurch, Greymouth and Nelson. I then worked in both Southland and Christchurch Hospitals, including several years as a Paediatric Registrar and obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Health. I moved into General Practice in 2024, where I enjoy the variety and continuity of care.

I live in Selwyn with my wife, our Border Collie dog and two Burmese cats, and have recently taken up running to try and tire out the dog! I can be found attending a Parkrun most weekends.
