Some of the doctors have started using an AI software tool called Heidi. This tool listens to the consultation and then summarises the information into a clinical record. This means the doctor can have a conversation with you without having to stop and take notes.
When the consultation is finished, the doctor will check that the information is correct and then add it to your file on our patient management system- called Indici. The recording is stored securely and when finished the draft is deleted.
You are under no obligation to consent, please let the doctor know if you do not consent to AI use, and if you do you can withdraw this consent anytime.
Heidi complies with privacy regulations (including the NZ Privacy Act 2020) and uses encrypted processing to protect your health information.
